Privacy Policy
Last updated May 26, 2026
SwishWork connects people who need work done with the professionals who do it. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the control you have over your information. We don’t sell your data, and we don’t add you to marketing lists you didn’t ask for.
Who we are
SwishWork (“we,” “us”) operates the website and mobile app at swishwork.com. For any privacy question, data request, or concern, email support@swishwork.com— we’re the point of contact for everything below.
Information we collect
- Account details. When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and (optionally) phone number. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes by our authentication provider — we never see them.
- Sign-in with Google, Facebook, or Apple. If you choose a social sign-in, we receive your name, email address, and a profile identifier from that provider so we can create or match your account. We do not post anything to those accounts, and we request no more than your name and email.
- Project details. When you start a project we collect what you tell us — scope, timeline, budget range, photos, documents, and the messages you send.
- Professional profiles. If you list yourself as a pro, we collect your business name, services, service area, photos, and contact details so clients can find and reach you.
- Payment information. Paid features are billed through Stripe. Stripe handles your card details directly; we receive only your subscription status and a payment confirmation — never your full card number.
- Usage data. Standard technical data (device, browser, pages viewed) to keep the service working and secure.
How we use it
- To create your account and sign you in.
- To connect you with the pros you select, and to deliver the messages, quotes, and files you exchange.
- To send transactional email — confirmations, replies, and notifications about your projects.
- To process payments for paid features.
- To keep the platform secure and to improve how it works.
How we share it
The core of SwishWork is connecting you with professionals, so:
- With the pros you choose. When you submit a project to specific pros, we share the project details and your contact information with those pros so they can reach out. We only share with the pros you select.
- With service providers who run the platform for us. Supabase (authentication and database hosting), Stripe (payments), Resend (email delivery), and Vercel (web hosting and analytics). Each processes data only to provide their service to us.
- When required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the public.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal data as described on our data deletion page, except where we’re required to retain certain records (for example, payment records for tax and accounting).
Your rights
You can access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time. To request deletion of your account and associated data, follow the steps on our data deletion page or email support@swishwork.com. We respond to verified requests within 30 days.
Children
SwishWork is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. When we do, we’ll revise the “last updated” date above. Material changes will be communicated through the service.
